Zero-Day attacks have exploited unexpected and unanticipated vulnerabilities, and in some ways names like Stuxnet, Heartbleed, EternalBlue and ForcedEntry trace the story of our digitized world. Such events do help drive technological innovation, but unfortunately they bring organizations to their knees too, and so the concerns they raise continue to keep executives and world leaders awake at night.
These attacks also form the center of a new book about the global cyber arms race, This is How They Tell Me the World Ends, written by our guest Nicole Perlroth, a journalist and advisor to the US Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
Join the WSJ and Netscout for a discussion on Zero-Day attacks, where they come from, how their emergence has transformed some of the world's biggest organizations into collateral damage, and how cyber leaders can try to detect new threats even if they cannot fully anticipate them.
