Mae Cheng is the SVP of Barron's Group at Dow Jones. She oversees the award-winning financial publications Barron's, MarketWatch, Financial News and Mansion Global. She was previously the publisher and editor at Mansion Global, the premiere news site for luxury residential properties around the world, and Barron's Penta, a wealth management and luxury publication. Mae has been at the forefront of digital-strategy efforts in newsrooms and has led a number of start-up initiatives. In a prior role as Special Projects Editor for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal, Mae worked on the launch of a suite of professional-services content verticals and was key to the development of the editorially-driven events portion of The Wall Street Journal’s subscriber-benefits program. Prior to her time at Dow Jones, Mae led newsrooms at Cablevision, Newsday and amNewYork.

Adena T. Friedman

Adena Friedman became President and CEO of Nasdaq in 2017, where she is a member of the Board of Directors. She brings more than 20 years of industry leadership and expertise, and is credited with significantly shaping Nasdaq’s transformation into a leading global exchange and technology solutions company with operations across six continents.


Prior to being named CEO, Adena served as president and COO throughout 2016. She rejoined Nasdaq in 2014, after serving as CFO and managing director of The Carlyle Group. Before Carlyle, Adena was a key member of Nasdaq's management team for over a decade, including head of the company's data products business, head of corporate strategy and CFO. 


Since December 2018, Adena has served as a Class B director to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

James G. (“Jim”) Coulter has been a member of TPG Capital’s board of directors since its inception. TPG Capital is a leading global alternative asset manager with $127 billion in assets under management. Over the last 30 years TPG has developed an ecosystem of insight, engagement and collaboration which includes more than 280 active portfolio companies headquartered in more than 30 countries.


Mr. Coulter has served as a founding partner of TPG since 1992, as well as serving, at various points, in roles including executive chairman and co-CEO of TPG, managing partner of TPG Rise Climate, co-managing partner of The Rise Fund and served on the TPG Holdings Committee (as well as its predecessor committee) from its inception until the IPO. Robert (Bob) Frenzel

Bob Frenzel is Chairman, President and CEO of Xcel Energy, one of the largest public utilities in the country. The Fortune 500 energy company serves utility customers in parts of eight states, providing electricity to 3.7 million customers and natural gas service to 2.1 million customers. In 2018, Xcel Energy was the first company to announce a vision to produce carbon-free electricity by 2050.


Prior to becoming CEO, Frenzel served as president and COO, where he led Xcel Energy’s four utility operating companies, as well as the transmission, distribution and natural gas operations. Previously, he served as CFO, where he led the finance, tax, accounting, and corporate development functions of Xcel Energy and its subsidiary companies. Frenzel previously worked as VP in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs.

Carl Hess

Carl Hess is CEO of WTW, formerly known as Willis Towers Watson. The company was founded in 2016 following a merger of the Willis Group and Towers Watson. WTW now operates in more than 140 countries as an advisory, broking and solutions company worldwide. Mr. Hess previously served as leader of the investment, risk and reinsurance segment, co-leader of North America and before that, as managing director, Americas, of Towers Watson. He served as the managing director of Towers Watson's Investment business since January 2010 and also worked in a variety of roles for over 20 years at Watson Wyatt, lastly as global practice director of Watson Wyatt's Investment business. Carl is also a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, and a chartered enterprise risk analyst. 

Anne Simpson

Anne Simpson is Global Head of Sustainability at Franklin Templeton, a global investment management organization serving clients in more than 30 countries and managing over $1.5 trillion in assets. Simpson leads the firm's overall strategic direction on stewardship, sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) investment strategy globally. Simpson joined Franklin Templeton from the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), where she served as Managing Investment Director for Board Governance & Sustainability, leading the development and execution of CalPERS’ award-winning Sustainable Investment Strategy. 


Simpson has also previously served as inaugural chair of Climate Action 100+, as a senior faculty fellow and lecturer at Yale School of Management and as head of the Global Corporate Governance Forum at World Bank. She currently lectures at UC Berkeley and recently accepted an appointment as a visiting fellow at Oxford University.


 

Jonathan Bailey

Jonathan Bailey, CFA, Managing Director, is Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Investing at Neuberger Berman. Jonathan joined the firm in 2017 and has overall responsibility for the consideration of material ESG factors in investment processes firm-wide. He leads the firm’s ESG Investing team and works with portfolio managers and analysts across our equities, fixed income and private investment portfolios. 


Previously, Jonathan was the founding Director of Research at Focusing Capital on the Long Term (FCLT Global) a think tank established by BlackRock, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and McKinsey & Co. FCLT Global. He spent the bulk of his prior career at McKinsey & Co where he was an Associate Partner working with asset owners and asset managers. Jonathan has also worked for Generation Investment Management, the sustainable investment firm co-founded by former Vice President Al Gore, and as a governance advisor for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Bergman has been Chairman of the Board and CEO of Henry Schein, Inc., a Fortune 500 company and the world's largest provider of healthcare products and services to office-based dental and medical practitioners, with more than 22,000 employees worldwide and operations or affiliates in 32 countries and territories. In 2021, the Company's sales reached $12.4 billion. 


Mr. Bergman serves as a board member or advisor for numerous institutions including New York University College of Dentistry; the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine; the Columbia University Medical Center; University of the People; Hebrew University; Tel Aviv University; the University of the Witwatersrand Fund; The World Economic Forum's Health Care Governors; the Business Council for International Understanding; the Japan Society; and the Metropolitan Opera.

 

 Steve Howard

Dr. Steve Howard is Chief Sustainability Officer at Singapore’s Temasek International. Steve is also the Co-Chair of We Mean Business. Previously he was Chief Sustainability Officer at IKEA Group. In his former role as CSO at IKEA, Steve was responsible for the company's sustainability strategy, environmental and social performance and the impact of its products. Steve believes that sustainability is one of the mega-trends that shapes society and the business landscape this century. 


In 2015, Steve co-founded We Mean Business, a leading climate change coalition of organizations that helped support the Paris Agreement. Prior to IKEA, Steve was Founder and CEO of The Climate Group, a global NGO that has built networks of cities, states, regions and businesses committed to a net-zero carbon world. In addition, Steve is on the Administrative Board of SEforALL, and until recently was Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Environmental and Natural Resource Security.

 

Deborah Ng

Deborah Ng leads global investment manager GMO’s sustainability-related initiatives, including working with investment teams as they integrate material ESG factors into their processes, with members of the firm’s Investment Stewardship Group to expand engagement activities and advancing GMO’s own sustainability goals.


Prior to joining GMO, Ng worked at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), one of Canada’s largest investors, for over 18 years, most recently serving as Head of Responsible Investing, directing the OTPP’s responsible investing strategy and climate change initiatives. Ng also serves on the Value Reporting Foundation’s Investor Advisory Group, and on the Investment Committee of the United Church Pension Plan. She is a past board member of the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB BV).

Amy O’Brien

Amy O’Brien leads a 30+ member team accountable for creating a holistic RI vision, strategy and unified framework across Nuveen and TIAA, partnering with colleagues on implementation in day to day business activities. In 2018, Amy was identified by Barron’s as one of the most influential people in ESG investing and was named ESG Investment Manager of the Year in 2021 by Women in Asset Management.


Previously, she has been a board or steering committee member of numerous organizations to include the Council on Economic Priorities, the Global Reporting Initiative, the U.S. Social Investment Forum (USSIF), The Investor Responsibility Research Center Institute for Corporate Responsibility, the Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings (GISR) and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Since 2018, Amy has served as a Strategy Group member for the Global Investors for Sustainable Development (GISD) Alliance.


Jennifer Rogers

Jen Rogers is an award-winning financial reporter and anchor. She has worked for Yahoo Finance, Reuters, CNN and MSNBC, giving her a front row seat to the biggest tech and finance stories of our time. She has interviewed a who’s who of business leaders, including Warren Buffett and Elon Musk. She is the anchor of "Breakthrough Economy" for Nasdaq which focuses on cutting edge biotech innovations. She also hosts special events for CNBC, recently interviewing executives from Home Depot, Workday and City National Bank.


Jen is a runner, a reader, and a cancer survivor. She co-founded Comedy vs Cancer, which raises money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she is also a founding member of the Patient and Family Advisory Council.


Annette Nazareth

Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM)

Annette L. Nazareth currently serves as the Chair of the Integrity Counsel for the Voluntary Carbon Market (Integrity Council), an independent governance body that evolved from the Taskforce on Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets (TSVCM), where she served as Operating Lead.


Annette has devoted significant attention to virtually all aspects of the body’s workstreams, and has represented the Integrity Council in venues across the globe. Annette has decades of experience in financial services regulation and corporate governance. She currently serves as Senior Counsel at the global law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell, having previously served as a Partner of the firm and the head of the Washington DC office. Annette also led the firm’s Trading and Markets practice within the Financial Institutions Group. She was a key player in U.S. financial services regulation for nearly a decade, most notably as a Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and as the SEC’s Director of the Division of Trading and Markets.

Alberto De Paoli

Alberto De Paoli was appointed CFO in November 2014. Mr. De Paoli joined the Enel Group in 2008 as CFO for Enel Green Power, the Group's renewable power generation subsidiary and a leading player in the global renewable energy industry, a position he held until 2012. As EGP CFO he led the start-up and listing of the business on the stock exchange. He then moved on to become Head of Group Strategy, a role he covered until being named the Group's CFO.


Between 1993 and 2008 Mr. De Paoli worked in the telecommunications sector, first at Telecom Italia, then Wind Telecomunicazioni and finally Tiscali, where his roles included Head of Planning and Control, CFO, Head of Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Development.


Mikkel Larsen

Climate Impact X

Mikkel Larsen is CEO of Climate Impact X (CIX), a global exchange and marketplace for high-quality carbon credits, based in Singapore. He led the Sustainability Working Group of the Emerging Stronger Taskforce, a public-private partnership that culminated in the formation of CIX. Mikkel is responsible for developing and executing CIX’s vision to scale the voluntary carbon market with an initial focus on catalyzing the market for natural climate solutions.


Prior to his current role, Mikkel was the Group Chief Sustainability Officer and chair of the Sustainability Council at DBS Bank, the leading financial services group in Asia. He has also previously served as CFO for Asia Pacific at UBS. 


Mikkel is involved in numerous international and Singaporean sustainability related councils and committees, including the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the Natural Climate Solutions Alliance (NCS Alliance) and the World Wildlife Fund Advisory Council (Singapore).

Mary de Wysocki

Mary de Wysocki has over a decade of experience leading various CSR and education initiatives for Cisco. She currently serves as their Chief Sustainability Officer. 


As technology rapidly changes the world of work, local communities, and our daily lives, de Wysocki’s team is proactively creating initiatives to enable opportunity for all. By equipping a new generation of “global problem solvers” with the skills they need to survive and thrive in an increasingly digital future, Cisco corporate affairs hopes to impact 1 billion lives around the globe by 2025. To do this, de Wysocki draws on her legal training, background in strategic consulting, and on-the-ground program management experience to launch and scale sustainability initiatives.


Raakhee Mirchandani

Raakhee Mirchandani is VP of Community at Dow Jones. Previously, she was the founding editor for Moneyish and the Editorial Director for Diversity and Inclusion at the Barron's Group. A longtime writer, editor and columnist, Raakhee is also the award-winning author of two children's books. She serves on various non-profit boards including the Hoboken Public Library, Steven's Cooperative School, the Children's Book Council and the Tomorrows Children's Fund, where she is the board President.
